HOW BIOROCK WORKS
BIOROCK employs well-proven technologies, namely the Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) followed by the BIOROCK® technology.
Oxygen is a crucial element in the treatment of sewage. Whilst other wastewater treatment plants are liquid-based, the BIOROCK filter separates sewage pollutants from water, breaking them down in an oxygen-rich environment. The ‘dry’ technology of BIOROCK makes it much more efficient than a conventional ‘wet’ sewage plants, which use electricity to pump oxygen into liquid sewage.
The BIOROCK® sewage treatment system is the first treatment unit in the world not to use any electricity or moving parts, it treats to a very high consent, accepted by the environment agency (EA) SEPA and local and regional councils.
The BIOROCK® product size ranges from a single house (BIOROCK- S) to multiple house developments, holiday chalets, restaurants, hotels, schools, caravan sites, shopping malls (BIOROCK-M) and many other solutions.
The BIOROCK® has a lot of customers and dealers worldwide (in more than 40 countries) selling over 15000 units in just over 20 years.
